Jiaming Shi (goes by Jamie) is a cinematographer and filmmaker currently pursuing an MFA in Film and Television Production at Loyola Marymount University. He previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Television Directing from Communication University of Zhejiang.

 

His work focuses on visual storytelling that blends atmosphere with emotional realism, with a particular interest in using lighting and composition to shape character psychology and support narrative depth.

As a cinematographer, Jamie enjoys working closely with directors and creative teams to develop a visual language that serves each story’s unique tone. He is especially drawn to character-driven stories and intimate emotional moments.

 

His goal is to continue growing as a visual storyteller and to create images that are both visually distinctive and emotionally engaging.
